Kam Tin is a rural area in Yuen Long. It may sound remote, but it is only five to ten minutes drive from the city and is one of the stations on the Tuen Ma Line. There are centuries-old historical buildings as well as new and unique shops, original residents who have lived here since the Song Dynasty, and non-Chinese people who came with the British army. Walking through the streets of Kam Tin is like going to a place not part of Hong Kong. Ambling Kam Tin is an illustrated ‘guide book’ that introduces the different places and stories of Kam Tin in chronological order. Some are historical events, some are local legends, and some are the stories behind the places. The book uses sketchy brush strokes to illustrate different places, giving the reader more imagination of the places and hoping that the reader could read with a more relaxed and appreciative mindset.

錦田是元朗一個的鄉郊地區，一聽之下好像令人感覺很偏僻，但其實它距離元朗市區只有五到十分鐘車程，更在屯馬線上佔有一席之位。這裡有幾百年歷史的古蹟，也有新興的特色小店；有宋朝就在這裏住的原居民，也有跟着英軍來到的非華裔族群。在錦田的街道遊走，就好像去了不屬於香港的另一個地方一樣。近年，錦田正悄悄地被發展，本來是空地的地方，不知何時變成了臨時房屋、停車場、私樓地盤。在錦田的特色消失之前，我希望能讓更多人對錦田產生興趣，並藉此記錄下現在的錦田。 「漫步錦田」是一本以插畫為主的「旅遊書」，裡面以時間順序，介紹錦田的不同地點和故事。有些是歷史事件，有些是坊間傳言，有些則是那個地方背後的故事。本書以鬆散的筆觸描繪不同的地方，除了令讀者對該地點更有遐想外，亦想帶出一種寫生的味道，希望讀者以較悠閒、欣賞的心態去閱讀。
