Bamfu

It aims to promote modern applications for replenishable material and traditional craftsmanship techniques. It consists of upcycled lamps, each design capable of disassembling into three modular components: lampshade, lightbulb, and stand that can be interchangeable with other lamps in the series. Production of various lamp components used waste as upcycled materials: base unit made using discarded scaffolding bamboo for its durability to support lampshade structure; lampshade component made using handmade paper of recycled paper with shredded bamboo materials. Shredded bamboo on paper produced unique lighting effects for the whole lampshade once installed onto the lamp decoration. Through customizability of lamps within a series encourage users to acquire new components to observe visual changes with different combinations, creating consumption pattern for replenishable upcycled material such as bamboo for product manufacturing. In addition, the production of lampshade components promotes the continuation of traditional craftsmanship skills.LISH
