In my artwork, I explore the complexities of family dynamics in Chinese households. While family is often seen as a source of support and identity, it can also be a source of stress and emotional burden. Through my art, I aim to capture families’ emotional weight and tension, particularly in cultures where communication is not always encouraged or prioritised. Drawing from my personal experiences, l use specific examples and visual elements to illustrate the impact of cultural norms on family expectations and communication. The cloth pattern represents the Chinese family, and the tension of the knot exposition represents stress. Ultimately, my artwork invites viewers to reflect on their relationships with their families and the larger societal and cultural factors that shape these relationships.

在我的藝術作品《萬縷結》中，我探索了中國家庭動態的複雜性，並通過視覺表現方式呈現出來。雖然家庭通常被認為是支持和身份認同的來源，但它也可能是壓力和情感負擔的來源。我通過我的藝術作品，旨在捕捉家庭情感的重量和緊張感，特別是在強調溝通不被鼓勵或優先的文化中。在作品中，我使用了布料圖案和結兩個意象，分別代表中國家庭和壓力。通過這些意象的運用，我試圖用視覺元素來表現出家庭的情感和緊張感。借鑒我的個人經驗，我使用具體的例子來說明文化規範對家庭期望和溝通的影響，並呈現出文化背景對家庭關係的複雜影響。最終，我的藝術作品旨在邀請觀眾反思他們與家人的關係以及塑造這些關係的更大社會和文化因素。透過藝術的呈現方式，觀眾可以更深入地理解中國家庭的複雜性，同時也能夠思考家庭關係與社會、文化因素之間的相互作用。
