“Nothing is so firmly believed as that which we least know.” ― Michel de Montaigne, The Complete Essays. When an inexperienced multitude attempts to see with its eyes, it is exceedingly apt to be deceived. Before anyone knows, rumour is the fact. Within me sounded the sentence– We believe what we believe is our “reality” I am thinking, so how can we know what is true? Why are these rumours so powerful? and How to crack them? It is the source of inspiration for my project. Through this project, I want to tell the audience the truth about some of the rumours. I hope the audience can resolve misunderstandings and develop critical thinking so that people will not mindlessly believe in some rumours. In the work, I used to disrupt the purity of the blank canvas with abstract shapes and lines. This sense of order expresses the unpredictability and potential chaos of a world of rumours.
