My topic is ‘Ham Sup.’

‘Ham sup’ is a Cantonese term. It refers to people who think or do sexual or pornographic things. People are labelled as ‘ham sup’ if they talk about other people’s bodies or sexual behaviour.

Hong Kong people are afraid to openly talk about sex as ‘ham sup’ is associated with pornography, lewdness, and perversion. This is an unhealthy phenomenon. Hong Kong society has a deep negative impression and misunderstanding of the words ‘ham sup.’ Through my exhibition, I want to explain that ‘ham sup’ can have a positive meaning, and change people’s negative thinking about the term.

我的主題是「咸濕」。

「咸濕」是廣東話的說法。意思是指有些人會 想一些或做一些與色情有關的事情都是屬於 「咸濕」。它通常包括對人體或人類性行為的 顯示或描述。如果他們提及任何性話題，他們 將成為「咸濕」。

香 港人不 能 接 受 公 開 談 論 性 的 話 題。因 為 人們認為「咸濕」包括所有有關色情，淫蕩， 變 態 等 所有 相 關 的內 容。每 個 人都 害 怕 談 論性話題。這是不健康的現象。香港社會對 「 咸 濕 」一 詞 產 生 了 深 刻 的 負 面 印 象 和 誤解。我想通過展覽的形式讓更多人明白其 實「咸濕 」不一定 是負面的，我想讓 更多的 人了解 其 實「 咸 濕 」也 有 很 多積 極 正 面 的 影響，改變他們對「咸濕」的負面思想。
