Hawker Cart Model Design Competiton

by Chan Wing Man, Manman

Street food is an important part of Hong Kong’s cultural heritage. Unfortunately, it has declined in recent years due to government policy and the high cost of its food truck pilot scheme.

This project is called “流·傳 Hawker Cart Model Design Competition.” It aims to keep street food culture alive through a citywide student hawker cart makerthon. Students can learn from the wisdom of old cart designs while having fun making their own.

I produced a model hawker cart as a reference and created a poster design as well as website for promotion. The website provides information about the competition, and features animations to more effectively achieve the purpose of hosting the competition.
