Culture’s Extending

In the Chinese Peking Opera culture, the actors’ frame, shape and singing all show full tension, especially in the art of facial makeup, which requires a lot of extensibility from the stage to the audience. The work uses rope as the medium. The characteristics of the rope’s extensibility in the material are used as a continuous extension of the concept and visual of the work. The work defines extension-extension as the future, and it is also a concept of learning from each other, combining the features, and a progressive concept. The work is performed from the perspective of traditional Chinese Peking Opera masks while challenging the extension concept.
