Project Background
Recent years have seen a concerning rise in child sexual abuse cases in Hong Kong. However, current kindergarten curriculum guidelines lack mandatory sex education, leaving young children without essential self-protection awareness. Age-appropriate sex education not only fosters proper body awareness but also supports mental and moral development.
Among various aspects of sex education, self-protection is the most fundamental. Picture books effectively deliver these concepts in a child-friendly way.This project aims to enhance kindergarten teachers' and parents' ability to teach sex education, ensuring children's safety and healthy growth.
Objective of Self-protection
Specially designed teaching content for K3 children
・Knowing the body Name, function and location of private parts
・Learn to recognize dangerous situations Distinguishing good contact from bad contact
・How to deal with it Master basic self-protection skills

近年來,香港兒童性侵案件數量持續上升,令人擔憂。然而,當前幼兒園課程指引缺乏強制性性教育內容,導致幼兒缺乏基本的自我保護意識。適齡的性教育不僅能幫助兒童建立正確的身體認知,更能促進其心理和道德發展。
在性教育的眾多方面中,自我保護是最基礎的一環。繪本以兒童友善的方式有效傳遞這些概念。本項目旨在提升幼兒園教師和家長教授性教育的能力,確保兒童的安全健康成長。
