When we heard “You are so outdated”, we may think that it is a negative description and we hope we won’t be an outdated person. However, everything will be outdated when they don’t match the current trend, it doesn’t mean that they don’t have their own value. And we can’t ensure the future, those outdated items may hit again. The artist presents different kinds of outdated items through her artworks, and hope that people can re-examine the definition of OUTDATED and recall their memories on those items.
「咦⋯⋯乜你咁老土架」這句聽起來是一句帶有貶義的說話,導致有很多人都想擺脫老土這個形象。事實上每樣事物之所以會變成老土是因為它們已經不符合現時的社會風氣,並不代表他們毫無價值。而我們亦不能確定將來的社會趨勢,有可能這些往日流行的事物還是有機會再盛行一番。作者希望透過作品,將往日的老土事物再次呈現於人前,讓人們透過作品重新審視對老土的定義和喚起他們對這些項目的記憶。
