The M.A.D. HONG KONG (Metropolitan Art District) was designed to advance the quality of Street Art in Hong Kong. It is created as a feasible proposal for pitching to departments such as the district councils or The Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), envisioning an international attraction that showcases the rich culture of our city. Moreover, the project will primarily focus on promoting local Street Art talents, by connecting the Streets of Hong Kong and its artists, it will be a creative hub where artists and the community to exchange their love for each other through arts. The project’s slogan “ We are M.A.D. about the streets, we are M.A.D. about the arts.” precisely expresses the unconcealable passion Street Artists and Street Art Lovers have for our city. This project will also have a hand in cultivating new generations of Street Artists by providing a safe and diverse environment for young people to learn and master their craft. Furthermore, this will also bring new life and excitement to a beautiful old neighbourhood.
